Biography

Liza is a graduate of the University of Opole in the Faculty of History and Pedagogy. She also graduated Music Academy of Wrocław were she studied under Mr. Dariusz Paradowski supervision. This collaboration resulted in a diploma performance of Mozart's opera "Bastin et Basitienne" issued in 2005 in Gdansk Opera House.

During her studies she participated in numerous concerts and recitals. She sang musical evenings, opera performances and spectacles, including those conducted by Tadeusz Zatheya: "Sour Angelica" and "Apollo and Hyacinth. Collaborated with the Wrocław Opera House which resulted in performances in Poland and abroad at the Summer Opera Festivals in Xanten.

In 2002 she recorded a charity album along with chamber ensemble "Cantores Minores Vratislaviensis" led by Piotr Karpeta in cooperation with Wieslaw Ochman.

In 2005 she had cooperated with vocal chamber ensemble "Sine Nomine", led by Piotr Zawistowski. She contributed two CDs "Musica Claromonatana" aimed at preservation of music pieces from Jasna Gora and the CD of carols and pastorales "Hej bracia, czy śpicie?" accompanied by the ensemble "Concerto Polacco" under the baton of Marek Toporowski.

She gives concerts in the country and abroad as a soloist and chamber musician. Performs a repertoire of both opera, operetta and oratorio. Currently associated with Mazovia Music Theatre "Operetka" named after famous polish tenor Jan Kiepura. Here she performs the role of Olga, the wife of Kromov in the Franz Lehar's play "The Merry Widow" and Rusalka in the spectacle "Children in the Land of Music" created and led by Włodzimierz Izban. In the 2008/2009 season she made her debut in the "Countess Maritza" by Emmerich Kalman as Lisa.

At May 16, 2009, she received the Theatre Music Award named after Jan Kiepura in the category of Best New Artist. 1th August 2009 she took part in the Jubilee Concert at the Woodstock '69 festival in Kostrzyn (project of Jurek Owsiak and his charity foundation) along with the stars of Polish pop music scene such as: Katarzyna Kowalska, Ewelina Flinta, Cugowski brothers, Wojtek Waglewski, Artur Gadowski, Lora Szafran, Sylwia Wiśniewska, Karimski Club. The concert celebrated the 40th anniversary of Woodstock rock festival. 2th of August 2009 she took part in "The Merry Widow" operetta experimentally presented on a side-stage during rock festival.

The 2010 Year she began on January 1th participating in the Grand Music Gala (concerts in Warsaw and Poznan). The event has been 5th edition of the New Years concerts prepared by Mazovian Music Theatre. This time under a title: "... Frederick's time to start" referring beginning of the Frederick Chopin Year. The stage at the Warsaw Philharmonic and the Grand Theatre in Poznan hosted distinguished artists: Wieslaw Ochman, Tadeusz Strugala, Jerzy Zelnik, Stanislaw Drzewiecki and the laureates of Jan Kiepura Theatre Award 2009: Aleksandra Kubas, Liza Wesołowska, Piotr Friebe, Krystian Krzeszowiak as well as winners of the first European Tenor Competition named after Jan Kiepura: Arnold Rutkowski, Andrzej Wisniewski, Witalij Wydra and Jan Jakub Monowid.

27th of April, 2010 on the occasion of International Day of the Theatre and the opening of the Bielanska Chamber Music Hall, she took part in the première of the music mono-drama "Chopin, the Music and Love" directed by Włodzimierz Izban, contributed by Dominika Ostałowska, Jarosław Kital and Wojciech Kopczak.
